/ GPLSSoftball season is just a month and a half away - if mother nature allows it that is.
With opening weekend set for May 12 to 14, organizations across the GPLS are gearing up for what should be another eventful season of softball across the prairies.
Along with the annual Pink Sox games schedule for May 19, May 26 and June 2, and the All-Star weekend set for June 16 to 18 in Sherwood Park, quality softball is expected to be played, as teams from all ages make a run at a provincial championship, while some, have their eyes set on a national championship, as the U18 Canadian Fast Pitch Championships will be hosted by the Lloydminster Amateur Softball Association, bringing the national tournament to the GPLS.
Plenty of changes have happened over the winter months, including a redesign of the GPLS website to be more mobile friendly, which will hopefully improve your experience with the website when you’re not at your computer.
There will also be more content to read, as feature stories on our organizations, teams, players, and events will be coming at you all season long and beyond, as we continue to improve our website to offer more reason for you to stay tuned.
We ask anyone involved in the GPLS to help generate content for the website, by emailing your story ideas, suggestions, and any pictures to a.brethauer@gpls.ca, as we look to promote the exceptional athletes that make up our many teams across the prairies.
