Two 2016 "B" Locations Announced
We are excited to announce two of the successful bids for the 2016 GPLS 'B' season. We congratulate all groups that have been awarded a GPLS 'A' event for the 2016 season and thank all those groups who expressed interest and, especially, all those that bid for an event! Team registration will open on GPLS.CA on 5 February!

All Star Weekend - June 10/11/12 (Lloydminster, AB/SK)
Championship Weekend - June 24/25/26 (Sherwood Park, AB)
*Pink Sox Weekend was split geographically in 2015. In 2016 these weekends will be split geographically again, one taking place in the west (Alberta) and one in the east (Saskatchewan) on different weekends with individual teams competing in one weekend or the other, not both.

GPLS 2016 Hosting Application
Being a GPLS Host Organization is a great opportunity for your organization to raise funds and increase awareness of your organization and the sport in your community by hosting the best softball teams from the prairies!
To bid, please complete our 2016 Hosting Bid Package
and submit by 15 December, 2015. Successful bids will be announced on or before 15 January, 2015. If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
** UPDATE: We have delayed announcing our hosts for the 2016 season until January 30th. We apologize for this delay as we work with potential host organizations, the ASUA, and other stake holders within the softball community to coordinate the summer to be as efficient and successful for all! **

GPLS Teams have successful Provincials
Alberta and Saskatchewan GPLS teams had an outstanding showing at both the "A" and "B" provincials in July. Our members ended up winning 23 medals in total, the breakdown is below.
Alberta "A" teams won 10 of 12 medals
Saskatchewan "A" teams won 2 medals
Alberta "B" teams won 7 of 12 medals
Alberta had 2 other medals at U10A and U19C
Saskatchewan "B" teams won 2 medals
